The Cameron Highlands

The bus had finally stopped and I looked at the sign rather confused because I thought that we were going to the Caiman Islands. The Cameron Highlands are known for their giant black tea plantation. We scheduled a private taxi tour. It was stunningly beautiful. The green and the individual bushes made patterns it was so beautiful. But just felt so endless. The miles upon miles that it stretched. All of it just so hard to take in. The green, the hills, the landscape was breath taking. We made it to the top of the tea plantations my mom bought tea with some scones with strawberry jam and cream, it was really delicious. Then we passed all the way back through the tea plantations on our way to the butterfly garden. We bought fresh strawberry’s and on the way out there was the creepiest minion that I had ever seen.

We visited a place called the Butterfly Farm. To be honest it was the coolest thing in the world. They had really cool snakes and geckos, one gecko had amazing green eyes. There were butterfly’s everywhere but I truly think that it was more about the flowers and other creatures than the butterfly’s. The guide showed us a flower that was completely blue and looked like claws, I had never seen anything like it. And a flower that had really sweet nectar. Then there were the leaf insects that were really cool looking and blended in really well. He let us hold a king grass hopper I had some trouble doing it because they were super creepy and if you made them angry it would stick out its hind legs and make a weird sound. Our guide put a scorpion on my shirt (on that one I was totally freaking out). I learned that they sting you if you touch their body, and that they were blind. They had a giant stick insect that he put on my shirt. We all got to hold a whip snake. It was so cool how it felt when it slithered in my hand and on my neck. We got to hold lizards (I really want a Chameleon as a pet). I really enjoyed that day, loved holding all these insects and other animals, and the Boh Tea Plantation was very pretty I had never seen anything like this before. The next day were left for Penang.
